For enrollment in either of the two
courses (Automotive Engineering or Automotive Styling), it is
obbligatory that the candidate is in possesion of a High School Diploma
or equivalent. It is not permitted to enroll in both courses at the same time. There is no age limit for enrollment. |

Foreign students may enroll in the
ISSAM provided that they possess the administrative requirements and
that they possess at least a basic satisfactory knowledge of the
Italian language which is the official language at the institute. We have had many foreign students enrolled from Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia. |

First year enrollment requests are
received from Monday to Thursday on site at the institute in Modena in
the following hours: from 15 November to 15 May 14:30 - 17:00 from 10 september to 31 October 09:30 - 12:00 |

Enrollment requests are not
accepted by telephone nor do we send the enrollment request forms by
mail, e-mail, or fax. Enrollment requires the physical presence of the candidate on site at the institute |

Students enrolled at the ISSAM are permitted to also be enrolled in one of the university faculties (public or private) at the same time. |

The lessons are held from Monday
to Thursday. The academic year at the ISSAM basically follows the Italian university calendar relative to academic activity and vacations. The lessons of the academic year begin at the begining of November and finish the following May. Student attendance during the lessons is obligatory with a "signiture of frequency" necessary for admittance to the exams. The instruction materials for both courses are at a para- university level. |

Exams are held in three
sessions: Summer (maggio/giugno) with 2 appeals (calls) Autumn (October) with 2 appeals (calls) Extraordinary (February) with 1 appeal (call) The votes on the exams are expressed in n/30, the votes on the thesis' are in n/110. The exams are held in a normal session in December, and in an extraordinary session in March. |

Non enrolled persons are not admitted to the lessons. |

There are no cost riductions or
exemptions, payment rates are subject to rigid regulations regarding
amount due and due dates. Within the ISSAM it is absolutely forbidden to carry out strikes, meetings, and assemblies of any nature. Any information on the daily participation and progress of each student is released only to the parents of, or the person who is responsibile for, that student. For information about the courses or the institute, you may come in person to the ISSAM or call by telephone from Monday to Thursday 14:00 - 18:00 (GMT+1 hour). |

Students who, in the 2 year term of the course, are unable to satisfactorily complete all the necessary exams will automacally enter in the "fuori corso" (over-time), but may not remain in this condition for more than an additional 2 years. |
